Fred Cusick, Voice of the Bruins
 

As the Voice of the Boston Bruins for 45 years, Fred called many exciting goals. He spent over 60 years covering all of Boston sports. He also created sports and public affairs programs and wrote Fred Cusick, Voice of the Bruins in 2006.

 

Fred was born in the Brighton section of Boston in 1918 and attended Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. To learn more about his life, visit Fred's Wikipedia page.

 

Fred died in 2009 at age 90.
